This will be the last day I post here… the new address is:
http://spaces.msn.com/members/Blogthisbuddy/ mark as Favorite.
Friday has arrived!!!! What a great day Fridays are, specially come 5:00.
A few of us are going to go out to Black Mountain Inn tonight for drinks and maybe some snacks. Tomorrow Rose Lee has her semi-formal so I will stop by there and see her off. Hoping for some good weather this weekend, I really need to do some hiking, maybe a short hike to a lean-to on Sunday. It all depends on the weather. I also need to get Zappa used to hiking and working the trail. Not to mention MY fat, lazy, arse. Have a great weekend everyone. Be safe and give me a call or email me.

This is an older poem that is happier than it seems.

Nightmares are grinding my mind

alone without u
standing in a new/old town
looking for your hand
reading it from a papers distance

Articles on a distant city
I glance through the news to find
your voice.

it is familiar but lacking
the personality has been removed
and placed in tiny notebooks for
future reading

Hump day is here and the ice is stuck to my car.

Wow what a crazy morning, tons of ice. I moved my car this morning so it was closer to the back door and as I stopped, the car slid about two car lengths, good thing I had snow at the end of the driveway or I would have made it to the road. Another quiet day at work so far, a few people are working from home today due to the roads being so nasty. Watched Goonies (again) last night. Boy what a great movie. It brings back such great memories. Oh Chester Cooperpot you crazy cat you. Well for all of you who know… the ball is rolling.

Here is that new poem I promised yesterday. You can see some of my influences in this one. Enjoy ya’ll, hope all is well, and drive safely.

Pissing Match.

Can you image one?
What would that smell like?
It would only consist of the older
for this is not a young man’s game

Yellow ribbons thru the sky
old naked men pushing and shoving
with urine and pot bellies
filled with cheap beer

One gets hit in the eye
begins to stutter his step
another shot this time in the mouth
he is now in trouble and goes down

The winner is never just that
he must walk home no cab or bus
the cold weather now rips thru his
damp clothing and shivers begin

He arrives home to clean and burn
the fight has ended his journey
the loser feels the same as
the winner Runs empty alone

Welcome Blog readers.

Thanks for taking the time to read me today. Happy days are soon to come back to me…
Not a ton to say today. I have been testing another blog site that I think I like better. It has more options and looks much better, besides I can include photos easily. You can visit http://spaces.msn.com/members/Blogthisbuddy/ to check it out. I will most likely be switching to this site very soon and will only blog there. Please give me some feed back if you can. Again thanks for reading my non-sense when you can it means too much to me. Another new poem tomorrow, but for today you get a movie quote. Enjoy, take care, and be safe.
Peace ya’ll.

Principal: Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Burrrr, I think hell froze over last night cause I woke up in it. -2 on my way to work this morning, oh and by the way I did NOT want to go in today. Most people I know have the day off as it is a public holiday. Not me, not now, maybe next year right? I had a rather rough night yesterday as I just wanted to unwind but I had a house full of “guest” that I did not expect to return and stay the night. Oh-well just me being selfish. Chin up boy, it will all work out in the end. Sure if “in the end” is my death and “work out” you mean my coffin.

DONE.
Moving on, thanks for the great conversations this weekend. It was great to touch base with the outside world. I talked to two great friends and spent sometime with my family. So, I just want to thank you for that. Have a great week and be safe. Keep in touch, and give me a call or write me.

I wrote this poem on Friday. It may need some work, specially the ending but I thought I would share and see if I could get some sorta response. Thanks ya’ll.

Stuffed animals line the rear windshield of her Le Baron

She drives 5 minutes from her home
5 miles under the speed limit
her cats need food
her cats need litter

Her husband dead 5 years now
lies under the earth
lies under her chest
remains an important article within

she pulls into the parking lot
the grocery store is empty
9am Tuesday morning
only the housewives and
widows search for food

the wheel from her shopping
cart rattles across the pavement
she smiles at the bag boy with a
hairy upper lip and enters the store

Now I am really ready for something new. This old shoe has a few to many scars from misguided “friends.”
Watched a great movie last night, Grand Canyon. Wow, this movie was excellently written, directed, and edited. The acting was dam good too. Danny Glover was the best I have every seen him. Wow!!! If you get a chance to check it out please do, it will be worth it. Also got a great pie last night. First time having pizza from The Lucky Leprecon. Big pie too, we got The Little Italy Garden Pizza, hummmmmm lunch!

What has happen to this world yo. I remember back in the day when a friend would invite you over for a nice good time you would actually go and have a great time. It seems that in these parts that is not the thing to do. If say I invite a buddy of mine over to the house for pizza, wine, and a movie I would be told yea let me talk to my girlfriend (cause she wears the pant ya know) after talking to said girlfriend I was told that their other friend who asked them well after my invite is going to take them out to dinner and drinks. So my offer for dinner and drinks was completely disregarded and quickly expelled. Do I stink? Is my house not warm and inviting? The “friends” you call buds may not be your friend or bud, rather an acquaintance whom does not care of your wishes. I wash my hands of these people, I will do my work at work for what it is worth and venture on by myself. I have lived in this area alone long enough to know that I can easily do this without so called friends. Besides I have a friend that I can visit in 4 hours.

Sorry about all that but, this is a blog so, sometimes you are stuck with it. Have a great weekend everyone!!!! Miss ya’ll too much. Don’t forget I will be within cell phone range if you want to give me a call tonight and most of Saturday. Peace!

First off… Great Job Mr. Myers I am very proud of you. Also check your email yo.

Another quiet day here in the mountains. We did get some nasty rain last night but it was 45 deg. when I got up this morning so thankfully it did not freeze. Had lunch with the big guy yesterday at trappers, one of the three restaurants around here. Yummy meatloaf with baked potato, and veggies. Good stuff, not as good as my Moms but not bad. Had a nice conversation but didn’t really discuss anything important, just the usually BS. I will be working the GED this weekend so I will be spending Friday night at the fam’s, and no drinks. But I will try to call some of you, you know who you are. Well have a great weekend if I do not talk to you before hand. Be safe.

I may have posted this one before but I could not find it. Either way enjoy.

The taste of pure salt on my tongue

Not the water from deep oceans
not from the pretzel purchased
salt of tears, forgotten years

They flow revealing memories
of warm bodies lying without
cloth, light; without restrictions
without fear

You called my name miles from home
yet my heart ached.
your call was in vain, your soul was in pain
mine was doused in Novocain

Happy Humpday Doggs!!!

Well halfway there, with Friday the 13th coming soon. Got lunch with the owner today, so wish me luck. Went for a little mini hike last night in ¾ of a full moon. With all the snow it was gorgeous out. Not too cold and no wind, couldn’t ask for a better January night to take the pup out for his first hike. Wow what a great feeling to get out and exercise, it has been way too long as my fat ass will show. Boy is he getting big quickly. I came home for lunch yesterday and found him in his bathroom sitting in water on top of the sink. I was so pissed at the condition of the room but I just couldn’t be mad at him while I look into those beautiful eyes, but man did it stink!!! Well he did manage to make it through the night with out pooping and peeing anywhere in the bedroom, third night in a row! I do love this little guy but I still miss Davis tremendously and just wish he was here to help teach Zappa. Well have a great hump ya’ll. Peace out yo! Just want to give a special hello to my boy Ed! What up kid. Give little Eddie a kiss for me. Keep of the butts! Talk to ya soon.

Oh joy Tuesday has arrived. Come on Friday.

“I am revoking your Dude Membership.”

Not a lot to say today. Early morning with the puppy, and for some reason I was still running late and didn’t get my coffee. So if I trail off here you know why. I watched “How I Meet Your Mother” last night and ya know it wasn’t as funny as it has been in the passed. I sure hope it gets back to it roots soon.
Well I guess this is it for today. I don’t want to bore you so I will leave you with a quote from a great movie. Enjoy ya’ll.

Donnie: Do you want your sister to lose weight? Tell her to get off the couch, stop eating twinkies and maybe go out for field hockey. You know what? No one ever knows what they want to be when they grow up. You know it takes a little, little while to find that out, right, Jim? And you... yeah, you. Sick of some jerk shoving your head down the toilet? Well, you know what? Maybe... you should lift some weights, or uh, take a karate lesson and the next time he's tries to do it, you kick him in the balls.

Happy Monday morning kids.
“Sounds like the case of the Mondays.”
Well the trip to NYC this weekend was a “trip” indeed. Stopped in NJ for a pants purchase, because our driver had a big ole blow-out. Got in to the city around 9:30pm after yet another detour. Got checked in and bought a $7.70 Corona with a yellow lime – nasty. Then walked to get some food but not much was open in our local so I ended up at a small closet Tex-mex / Chinese restaurant that really wasn’t that bad, not that great either. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but the salsa was great. Once I finished dinner I stopped off at a deli/ grocer to pick up a $12 six pack of Bass. Got back, had a few drinks with some co-workers then eventually headed up to my room and fell asleep. Woke up nice and early to take some sunrise photos that came out OK. I tell you though the “training” was very basic and all it did was piss me off and make me think I may have made the wrong decision with my life. I really miss designing, I mean REALLY miss designing. Well the food sucked, cold as hell in the theatre, and very uncomfortable seats. But the cool part is, the theatre we were in was the new theatre that “Inside the Actors Studio” is filmed at. I did take some of the 1 hour and 15 minute lunch break to walk over to Ground Zero and was a bit disappointed by the lack of information at the site. We did stop at the small church across the street from Ground Zero and that was worth it. They have a couple of nice booths with photos and left over signage from the fence at the church.
So on the way home we decided to stop at Outback Steakhouse in NJ for dinner. Now I must say I really dislike NJ. So, there was a 65 minute wait, which we figured was about right for a Saturday night in NJ. We went to the bar and stood and drank and made friends with the waitstaff. It took us 2 hours to be seated and the food was really not worth any wait. Last time I eat Outback. Well to make a long blog short, we eventually got in around 2am. Wow. Now I need to take a day off this week just to recover from this stupid weekend. Have a great Monday ya’ll, be safe and write soon, bitches.

Good day Blog readers. Happy Freakin’ Friday!!!!
I am traveling to NYC this evening for training on Saturday. It will be an interesting trip with a bunch of co-workers. Not too much going on lately, been kinda quiet around the mountains. We received about 4 inches of snow yesterday morning so it was a very pretty drive to work. I wish everyone a wonderful, safe, and relaxing weekend. Write to me when you can just to say hi. Talk to ya all next week!!!

The sound of rain opens my eyes
I can smell the water wash away
the old, with autos racing
down the street

The sun has fallen without my notice
the evening has overcome the day as
the guard will soon change
the face of the moon begins to stare

NPR plays me a tune while
my thoughts drift towards
my gassy lab. He sleeps
unknowing of my distaste.

I turn off my clock radio
lay my face down in pillows
drift and float throughout time
dream of my subconscious fears

Blog, blog, blog.
The hump day has arrived, welcome all Wednesday lovers. (that’s funny… hump day, lovers)
Zappa now has his very own collar and leash and he is great with it. I am so surprised and happy with him. I got up early enough this morning so we could go out and take care of business before a mess was started. Brisk morning but the sunrise was beautiful. What great colors of pink, orange, and blue. It was just wonderful to see the sun. Played some more golf last night, just 9 holes but it was a blast. All righty enough from my blog, blog, blog. Have a great day all.

Here is a new poem for you guys. Not sure if I like it or not. It may need some more work to be honest, but here you go nonetheless…

She smiles at no one
not a soul has an interest in her
thoughts or projections

she is without a friend to hold
her hair, hands, spirit up from
the puddle that lays at her feet

the cool breeze begins to chill
her exposed arms and create
tiny bumps for her to poke at

stumbling across the tracks she
begins to feel dizzy and weak
under the weight of her troubles

She sits and ponders how to carry
herself to the shack she calls home
without losing sight of her future

she will not remember this moment
it will be lost underneath the earth
of each step she proceeds with

Good Tuesday everyone! Another cloudy sunless day here in the Creek. It has been weeks since the sun has been out around here. It is starting to curve my enthusiasm for living in this part of the Country. Got drunk off some good wine last night, then tried to play golf on my TV which was tons O’ Fun. Before that I watched my new favorite show, “How I Meet Your Mother.” One of the actors is the guy who played Duggie Howser (sp) and he is just a riot. He is the funniest character on the show. Well have a great day ya’ll, only three more days till Friday. “Suit up!”

Life is funny the way it takes you on many short journeys across your lifeline. Each moment is the most important at the time. Nothing else matters. The past and future moments have become forgotten and replaced with here and now. Most make decisions with only now in mind not, what will my life be like in 5 years if I do this now. One must realize that the turn in the road you make today will affect your destination years from now. What may seem right now may not be the choice you want to live with later, keep this in mind as you travel through your days.

It was a nice week off I tell ya. Went to visit my Bro in Rochacha. What up Dog! Thanks for the good times and green grass. The hot tub was HOT. Give my love to the little one.
A very nice X-mas to say the least. It was a great day at the fam’s and prime rib for dinner? OH MY GOD what a great gift. New Years was sort of a bust. Really lame time at the bar and they stopped serving food at 10 but did not tell or ask the bar if anyone wanted anything before they closed so it turned out to be a hungry evening. Had a couple of friends over after the bar, which was very nice. Little Zappa is growing up, he can now jump on the couch which I am not completely convinced is a good thing, but he still pees and poops where he pleases. We are now scolding him every time he does this and I think it just might do the trick. He does like to watch us play Golf on the PS2, which is freakin’ adorable.
The weather has been very boring lately. Cold and no new snow L. We are supposed to get some next Monday but since that is a week a way I am not going to get my hopes up just yet. I think I will use my LL Bean gift certificate and buy a pair of snowshoes. Gotta get outside and take some photos and just exercise. I can feel my waist growing as I sit at this desk. Well I suppose that is enough from me for now. Everyone have a great week and check back soon.
Peace and Happy New Year.
